It appears all is not well as it seems in the NDC as factionalism begins to rear it’s ugly head in Ghana’s largest opposition party.
Online portal, Mynewsgh has reported that it’s internal sources have disclosed an elaborate agenda by current General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Hannah Bissiw to push Mahama out of the Party.
According to the report, Mr Asiedu Nketia is currently lacing his boots to contest for the National Chairmanship position of the Party.
The agenda is to push out current Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, who is said to be a Mahama supporter.
NDC Director of Elections, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah is also expected to vie for the position of General Secretary in order to lend adequate support to Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.
Dr Duffuor, a former governor of the Bank of Ghana, and former Minister of finance is the only candidate who has emerged so far to contest Mr Mahama.
