‘Render Genuine Apology’- Sabo Adams Tells Hopeson Adorye

The Communications Director elect for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Adams Sabo, has called on the former Kpone Katamanso Member of Parliament(MP) to render what he describes as genuine apology on his unpleasant comment on the Dombos.

He said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show on 16th August 2022.

He said, ‘’Hopeson Adorye must render proper apology to everyone. His comment was uncalled for. I read he has already rendered an apology but that was further explanation. His words were very disturbing, I particular was affected by his comment. So, imagine the number of people who were affected. His comment clearly shows Northerners can never lead. The current strategy is just an adopted convention that will be changed”.

Mr. Adams called on Hopeson Adorye to apologize to Dombo’s especially to bring calmness and the continues bread of unity.

During the walk for Alan Kyeremanten in Kumasi, Hopeson Adorye made a comment that was interpreted as tribalistic. He said, “the NPP has a tradition. Our tradition is Busia, Danquah and Dombo. Danquah represents Eastern Region and the bottom (south), Danquah represents Ashanti Region and the Bono areas, while Dombo represents Northern Region. The Dumbo’s are always in the mix and fit as running mates to either a Danquah candidate or a Busia candidate. That tradition must continue”.

In a press released on August 15, the former MP for Kpone-Katamanso wrote, “Upon reflection, I realize that my statement may either have been misunderstood and offended some patriots, or deliberately turned around by political opponents for their misguided intentions. As much as it is not my nature, it definitely was not my intention to create this misunderstanding. I take full responsibility for my actions and sincerely apologize to all who are offended.”
