REGSEC Calls For Calm As Volta Separatists Enter Ashanti Region

Separatist group, Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSGF) have started penetrating parts of the Ashanti region.

In the wake of this, chairman of the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) and Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has called for calm and urged residents and traditional leaders to provide any information they get.

Addressing members of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs on October 8, Simon Osei-Mensah noted that security personnel have been on the look out for the separatists in the region since they save some descendants in the area.

He assured of heightened security to deal with any threats as soon as it rears its head.
