Rawlings Was A Worried Soul – Kyei-Mensah Bonsu

Former President Jerry John Rawlings remained a worried soul till his demise, Majority leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu has said.

According to him, the former president has been worried the country he took through “thunder and blood” is yet to achieve whatever vision he had for it.

He made this known after he signed the book of condolence in memory of the late President at the Accra International Conference Center on Friday.

“Rawlings remained a warrior and up to his death, he was a worried soul that the country was relapsing.”

“As an individual, he, in my view was pure at heart. His methods to achieve his vision are matters that we could perhaps question. But without doubt, he meant well ultimately for the country. So on this occasion, we can only wish that God grants his soul eternal rest,” he said.
