Rawlings Urges Naana Agyemang to Stick To Her Principles of Integrity

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has urged Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang to hold on to her principles of integrity.

In a congratulatory message, the former president said he was informed by the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama prior to the announcement, following consultations with the party hierarchy that Naana Agyemang was the favourite among a list of shortlisted candidates.

According to him, although he had other alternatives in mind, there was no reason to stand against it.

“If this was the case then there was no reason to stand against it even though I had a few others in mind,” Rawlings noted.

He further urged Ghanaians to go out in their numbers and register for the new voters’ ID ahead of the December polls.
