Prof. Albert Adu Boahen would be turning in his grave following how his son Charles Adu Boahen, was implicated in a bribery scandal undertaken by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Mr. Ishaq Kyei-Brobbey has said.
Mr. Kyei-Brobbey, a Finance and management expert described Charles Adu Boahen’s behavior in the video recorded by Anas, as someone who is a “braggart” and “absolutely corrupt” person; which contradicts the “humble” posture of his late father.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Mr. Kyei-Brobbey praised the late Prof. Adu Boahen noting that his “humble” life paved way and gave his son leverage in life.
“I am talking about Prof. Albert Adu Boahen…a distinguish Professor in History. He left a good name and lived a humble life” but was quick to fire that Anas’ expose has painted his son Charles Adu Boahen, as “braggart, greedy and absolutely corrupt.”
Mr Adu Boahen is said to have told the undercover investigators that Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia needs just $200,000 tokens as an appearance fee before meeting with supposed businessmen.
But Mr. Kyei-Brobbey replied that Vice President Bawumia hasn’t asked Charles Adu Boahen to negotiate any deal on his behalf.

My attention has been drawn to a video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas (as posted on his social media handle) showing the Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Charles Adu Boahen, apparently using my name, inter alia, to peddle influence and collect money from supposed investors.
I would like to state that if what the minister is alleged to have said is accurately captured in the video, then his position as a minister of state is untenable. He should be dismissed summarily and investigated.
I am not aware of any such meeting held by Minister Adu Boahen or a supposed “appearance fee”. My most cherished asset in life is my integrity and I will not allow anyone to use my name to engage in corrupt activities.
