Today is the D-day for loudmouth MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong as he faces the court after sitting on live TV to refer to a high court judge as “stupid”.
Ken Agyapong, a man known to have anger management issues, went berserk in vintage fashion when he descended on a judge presiding over a land litigation involving him, apparently because the judge had issued an order he disagreed with.
The outspoken lawmaker, having realized the gravity of his situation, situation, has offered an unqualified apology to the judge involved and the Chief Justice as well as the entire Ghanaian bench.
However, the case itself will be heard today, as the MP awaits a prison sentence or a pardon. Whichever way it goes, let’s hope sanity prevails on our airwaves.
