Police Arrests Bank Worker Following Repeated Daylight Robberies

The Ghana Police Service have said they have apprehended a bank worker in connection with the recent daylight robberies.

Some persons within the past week were robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight after withdrawing huge sums of money from the bank.

Speaking on Joy news, Acting Director-General of the Ghana Police Service’ Public Affairs Directorate, ACP Kwesi Ofori said a bank worker had been arrested.

“A bank worker, not necessarily a bank staff…we arrested him, and a lot has happened in that regard,” he said.

He also said the police are in a meeting with the various banks to put in place security for customers.
