Police Arrest Two Persons In Connection With The Demolition Of The Nigerian High Commission Building

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two persons in connection with the unlawful demolition of a building said to belong to the Nigerian High Commission. The two persons are said to have been arrested on Monday.

A building said to belong to the Nigerian High Commission which was intended to serve as a staff bungalow and a residence for stranded Nigerians in Ghana, was pulled down in the middle of the night by unidentified persons.

The Osu Stool later claimed responsibility for the act, saying that the said parcel of land belongs to them and all attempts to get the Nigerian High Commission to sit down with them for deliberations, has failed.

However, in a statement released by the Police service this morning, the CID administration claims to have arrested two persons in connection with the demolition. The statement also reveals that the two persons have been charged with the offences of conspiracy to commit crime.
