Point Just One Monumental Project You’ve Done – NDC Challenged

A Communications Team Member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Kwasi Acquah, has challenged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to point out any epic project they did from 2009 to 2016.

Stephen threw this challenge to the NDC on Wontumi radio.

In his submission he said, “since the NDC assumed power in 2009 under the late president Mills government till Mahama took over in 2011 to 2016, they have not done any huge project they can mention they initiated”.

The NPP governance under ex-President Kufuor witnessed the fastest economic growth. He introduced the National Health Insurance Scheme where about 56% of the population were registered with free maternal care for pregnant women; he initiated the free school feeding programme for children from kindergarten to Junior high School. And in the agricultural sector, he paid particular attention to cocoa farmers, making Ghana the second cocoa producers in the world between 2002 and 2005. Under President Akufo-Addo the almighty free SHS policy, the 1 districty-1Factory agenda, the tamale interchange, National identification cards, eradicating dumsor, hospitals and roads that have been built and the other gargantuan projects,” he said

He called on the NDC to point out to a project commenced that was not in existence.

“They cannot point out to anything’’, he added.

Stephen described the NDC government as ”bricks the mortar government”- because the only project they can point out to is  Ridge hospital, Legon hospital and circle interchange.

“Today Ghana has become a home for investors due the good economic management systems”, he stressed.
