Photo: Former NPP Minister, Otiko Djaba Spotted Campaigning For Mahama?

Former National Women Organizer, and former Minister under the Akufo-Addo led NPP government, Otiko Afisah Djaba appears to have ditched her beloved party to campaign for the NDC and John Mahama.

A photo that has gone viral on social media shows the former Minister among a section of queen mothers and other women group leaders in a location which is not immediately disclosed.

However, it is her two finger gesture, and that of all the persons in the photo that appear to suggest that the outspoken politician may be campaigning for the NDC and their candidate, John Dramani Mahama who occupies second position on this year’s ballot paper.

Ms Djaba was appointed Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy somewhere in 2018 but said she declined the offer and communicated same officially to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The former minister handed over to the Minister of Planning, Professor George Gyan-Baffour, who stood in for Hajia Alima Mahama, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, who was then in Mecca.

“At 56 years, l want to relax and enjoy my family and life and, therefore, l am not ready to take up the appointment as Ambassador to Italy,” she said to reporters after her resignation.
