Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has charged at President Akuffo Addo and his government to allow students to go back home after reported cases of COvid-19 in some Senior High schools.
In a series of posts on his Facebook Timeline, Azure Awuni wrote, “Pharaoh, allow the children to go home!
He warned teachers not to rely on government for their safety saying, “If you’re a teacher, don’t wait for the government to give you a mask before you wear one. Buy and protect yourself and your family, in and out of school.”
As part of measures to ease the Covid-19 restrictions in March, government directed the resumption of schools in senior high and universities. However, some schools have started to record cases of Covid-19.
This has created fear in both students and parents alike, with many calling for a closure of schools.
