People Who Hate Light Hate Data – Bawumia Shades Political Opponents At COP General Council Meeting

Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana has directed a subtle dig at his political opponents, while addressing the 46th session of the General Council Meetings of The Church of Pentecost at the Pentecost Convention Center in Gomoa Fetteh.

The Vice President was invited as a Special Guest of Honor to the Opening Session of the Council Meetings, which will also see Ghana’s largest indigenous Church elect a New General Secretary, a Chairman and some Executive Council Members.

Dr. Bawumia, while applauding the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye for delivering a data-driven State of the Church address, took a sly dig at his political opponents by saying that “it is only people who hate light that hate data”.

The Vice President applauded the Church for continuing to be diligent in managing its affairs and for being a shining light as far as Religious Excellence is concerned.

Dr. Bawumia also thanked the leadership of the Church of Pentecost, on behalf of President Akufo-Addo for handing over their Convention Center for use as an isolation center at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic.
