Outcome Of US Election Won’t Affect Ghana’s – Governance Expert

A Governance Expert, Professor Baffour Agyeman Duah has rubbished claims by some Ghanaians that the results of the US election will have a bearing on Ghana’s come December 7.

A section of the Ghanaian public believe a change in US will also be repeated here but a victory for President Donald Trump will also translate into a victory for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.

But Prof. Agyeman Duah disagrees, explaining that the dynamics in America are different from that in Ghana.

“On a more serious note I think the US elections will have no relevance at all to what happens here.

“As you know Ghanaians vote differently as compared to what happens in the US.

“The factors that determine voting lines in the US are quite different and the forces that are pushing people to vote in ore way or the other is dramatically different from ours so there is no such relations.”

He spoke on TV3’s New Day Show with Johnnie Hughes on Wednesday November 4.
