Orders From IGP Dampare Kept Owusu Bempah In Jail Despite Attempts By NPP Big Men To Get Him Out – Report

Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has been granted bail to the tune of GHS200,000 with two sureties by an Accra High court.

A report by mynewsgh said the man of God after his bail asked that words be sent to Acting Inspector General of Police, George Akufo Dampare that he forgives him if he has wronged him in anyway.

According to the report, Rev Owusu Bempah was strictly held in custody and under tight security while on hospital admission’ all under the orders of IGP Dampare.

Despite efforts from big shots in the NPP including General secretary John Boadu, Hopeson Adorye, amongst others, the IGP was determined to ensure Rev Bempah was kept in custody.

However, Rev Bempah finally had his bail after his lawyer, Gary Nimako moved the bail application on his behalf at the criminal division of the High Court.

Owusu Bempah was arrested on Sunday, September 12, together with three other members of his church. On Monday, he was charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, the threat of death, and assault of office public officers.

He was earlier denied bail by an Accra High court and remanded into police custody for a week. He later fell ill and was admitted at the Police Hospital where he was treated and sent back to custody.
