Ofori-Atta’s Sister In-Law Appointed Deputy Managing Director of Top State Bank

Eno Ofori-Atta, the sister-in-law of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has been appointed the deputy managing director of a leading state bank.

Mrs Ofori-Atta, whose spouse is Earl Ofori-Atta, the brother of the finance minister, was transferred from her position at the State Insurance Company (SIC), a different state-owned enterprise where she had been in charge of Financial Services since 2018.

After Dr. John Kofi Mensah, the previous ADB boss, retired on November 30, 2022, after five years, Alhassan Yakubu-Tali was promoted to Managing Director, creating a vacancy at the organization.

Despite the fact that Eno Ofori-Atta is related to the finance minister, analysts claim that her impressive résumé qualifies her for the position.

Critics claim that it seems like only a select set of family members are “qualified” for governmental jobs at all times.
