NPP Show ‘Strength’ As Thousands Attend Massive Walk In Suhum

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) sent a strong signal to opposition parties on Sunday with a highly attended health walk in the Suhum Constituency. The event, which saw over 20,000 participants, was organized ahead of the upcoming general elections to galvanize support for the party’s Presidential and Parliamentary candidates.

Led by Frank Asiedu Bekoe, popularly known as Protozoa, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Suhum, the walk attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic residents. Participants, adorned in NPP-branded clothing, marched through the principal streets of Suhum, chanting party slogans and singing songs of support.

The health walk, which began at the Suhum Lorry Station, was aimed at boosting the morale of party members and canvassing for votes for the NPP’s Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as well as Frank Asiedu Bekoe. Party leaders, including National, Regional, and Constituency executives, were present at the event, underscoring its significance.

Addressing the crowd, the leaders urged the residents of Suhum to place their trust in the NPP’s leadership, citing the government’s achievements, such as the Free SHS policy, the restoration of teacher trainee allowances, and the improvement of infrastructure, particularly in road construction. They emphasized the need for continuity to maintain and expand upon these development projects.

Frank Asiedu Bekoe reassured the residents of his commitment to advocating for more developmental projects in the constituency, urging them to turn out in large numbers on election day to vote for both him and Dr. Bawumia.

The event was characterized by high energy, with participants dancing and singing throughout the walk, a clear demonstration of the party’s popularity in Suhum. Many view the massive turnout as a strong indication of the NPP’s electoral prospects in the constituency for the upcoming elections.
