NPP Regional Secretary Arrested

The Greater Accra Region Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Parker Odailai France, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service’s Accra Regional Police Command for beating a party delegate.

Odailai, Daniel Parker According to 3news, France is accused of ordering an assault on one Daniel Amakye Kingsford, who wanted to witness the acclamation of Ablekuma West polling station administrators at the Dansoman Liberty Park on Sunday, March 13.

The General Secretary, as well as the strongly built men and the polling grounds, physically abused Daniel Amakye Kingsford.

According to 3news, he was sent to an unnamed hospital when several individuals surrounding him intervened.

Mr Odailai France was charged and was immediately invited by the police, which he honored, according to the Accra Regional Police CID, DSP Juliana Obeng.

After being released on bond, he is set to be charged in court on Wednesday, March 16.

“We continue to tell the public that the police are devoted to the protection of life and property at all times and are also prepared to promote law and order for a peaceful society,” the Command’s Public Affairs Unit stated in a press release.
