NPP Pushed EC To Charge 100k Filing Fee To Get Smaller Parties Out – Kofi Koranteng

Independent Presidential aspirant, Kofi Koranteng has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of being the brain behind the GHC100,000 Presidential filing fee being charged by the Electoral Commission.

According to him, the NPP is in bed with the EC to push other candidates out of the race in order not to have distractions.

“The NPP are in bed with the EC telling them that we want to prune this process; get these guys out of here, let’s make it GH¢100,000 so we don’t have any distractions,” he said to Joy News.

Kofi Koranteng urged the Ghanaian people to join forces with him to pay that money and kick out the NPP from the corridors of power.

“This is not my endeavour, I am here as a servant to represent the people of Ghana. I am hoping the Ghanaian people will call and say ‘Kofi, I wrote a cheque for that GH¢100,000. Pay this and let’s move forward with this thing.”
