Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Aspirant for Nkwanta South, Richard Manuribe has suggested that the just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries is to blame for the increasing Coronavirus cases.
According to him, the blatant diregard for Covid-19 protocols during the primaries has led to the spike in the cases.
Speaking on Kingdom FM’s ‘Pae Mu Ka’ he noted that, “the just ended NPP primaries is the reason why Ghana is recording more cases because when they went for the primaries the party members flouted the Covid-19 protocols.”
Richard Manuribe further blamed President Akufo Addo for failing to implement certain measures to curb the spread of the virus in Ghana.
He stated, “President Nana Akufo-Addo has fallen short of combating the coronavirus in Ghana as cases continue to soar.’’
Ghana’s total case count as at morning of July 4, stood at 19,388, with active cases standing at 4,941 and 14,330 recoveries. Death toll at 117.
