NPP Primaries: Hairdressers In Akwatia Threaten “Fire And Fury” After Ama Sey’s Defeat

The calls on the leadership of The New Patriotic Party to investigate the defeat of Incumbent MP for Akwatia, Ama Sey is gaining momentum as the latest group to join the call is the Hairdressers Association of Akwatia.

The Association argues that their member, who is also incumbent Member of Parliament, Mercy Adu Gyamfi popularly known as Ama Sey, who lost the primary to Ernest Yaw Kumi by just four votes, has been shortchanged.

Ama Sey herself has attributed her defeat to “ghosts”telling Daily Guide that she has rejected the final results because there were four dead persons whose names are in the register, and who were declared to have voted.

Ama Sey unseated NDC’s Baba Jamal in the December 2016 parliamentary elections, after the latter had snatched the seat for the NDC in 2012.
