NPP Peace Walk Turns Bloody As Former Minister’s Son Is Stabbed In Sekondi

What was supposed to be a peace walk organized by the Assembly Member for Nkotompoh electoral area in the Sekondi Constituency turned out to be not-so-peaceful as two participating residents believed to be NPP sympathizers were stabbed.

One of the victims, said to be the coordinator of NPP’s New Media in Sekondi, Godfred Kwamena Bartels suffered a serious injury as he was allegedly attacked by unidentified hoodlums.

A son of a former Minister in the Agyekum Kuffuor administration, Peter Kwamena Essilfie Bartels, the victim could not readily clarify why the assailants stabbed him and his brother.

Godfred also lamented the poor handling of the case by the Sekondi Police Command as he claimed some of his assailants are still moving around the community.
