Spokesperson for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2020 campaign, James Agyenim Boateng, has tagged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the most intolerant party the country has ever had.
Speaking on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo Morning Show, Mr Agyenim expressed displeasure about how the NPP has been on the neck of former president John Dramani Mahama for his ‘Akyem Sakawa’ brouhaha.
According to the former Deputy Information Minister, the NDC under Mahama tolerated every criticism and insults from both the Ghanaian populace and political opponents alike, however, same cannot be said for the ruling NPP.
He alleged close down of radio stations by government because they failed to speak in favour of the government. He further cited an instance where a journalist was invited to the Criminal Investigations Department to answer questions for accurately predicting President Akufo Addo’s speech.
