The National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party has reinstated former General Secretary, Mr. Kwabena Agyepong who had been suspended as a member of the party for about six years.
This decision was made by the NPP after Mr Agyepong wrote to the Executive Council, pleading with them to reconsider their decision to suspend him.
Mr Kwabena Agyepong, together with then party chairman, Paul Afoko, and National Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe were suspended in the run-up to the 2016 elections on claims of working against party interest.
Of all the three who were suspended, Mr Kwabena Agyepong is clearly the one who has demonstrated utmost commitment to the cause of the Party as he was seen campaigning for the Party in the 2020 elections.
There have been rumours that President Akufo-Addo intends to appoint Mr Agyepong into his government.
