NPP Delegates Rejected Me Because They Know I Don’t Tolerate Corruption – Ken Agyapong

In a surprising revelation at the Showdown Thanksgiving Service in the United States, Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) and former flagbearer aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong, declared that he was rejected by the party due to his uncompromising stance against corruption.

Agyapong, known for his outspoken nature, asserted that the NPP feared his determination to “crack the whip” on corruption within the party. He expressed disappointment in the party’s decision, stating that Ghanaians were not ready for change and seemed inclined to perpetuate the status quo.

“I’m sorry, but I will tell you the truth. They will just steal your money; that is why they didn’t vote for me because they knew I was going to crack the whip. We will not allow people to embezzle state funds at the expense of the poor country,” Agyapong proclaimed during his address.

The seasoned politician and businessman emphasized that despite the setback, he remains resolute in his vision for Ghana. He pledged to persist in his efforts to bring about positive change and ensure accountability in the management of state resources.

Agyapong’s bold assertions have sparked debates within political circles, with some questioning the party’s commitment to combatting corruption and others applauding the MP for his transparency and commitment to good governance.

The NPP, yet to officially respond to Agyapong’s claims, may face increased scrutiny regarding its internal mechanisms and its stance on anti-corruption measures.
