A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and private legal practitioner, Godwin Edudzi Tamekloe, has said that all signals are pointing against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in this year’s elections.
He said no attempt or effort to frustrate the NDC can save the governing party from defeat in this year’s polls.
Speaking on TV3′s The Key Points with sit-in host Alfred Ocansey on Saturday, September 12, Mr Tamakloe noted that the current administration has started implementing some policy proposals made in the manifesto document of the NDC for the 2020 elections.
For instance, in the area of the legalization of the commercial motor bicycle (Okada), he said, this is a promise made by the flagbearer of the NDC but the current government has claimed that it had started some consultations to get it done even before that promise was made.
This, Mr Tamakloe said, smacks of a desperate government.
“I am unhappy that the conversation is about desperate attempt by the failed Akufo-Addo administration to now attempt at implementing the manifesto pledges that John Dramani Mahama has made to the good people of Ghana.
“Time is up on this administration, nothing can salvage the sinking ship. The captain of this sinking ship Mr Akufo-Addo is going. That is why he is desperately trying to do what is he is doing,” he said.
