Popular Kumawood actor Alex Kofi Adu, also known as Agya Koo, is warning the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the seat will never return to them despite the propaganda they have spread in the Assin North Constituency.
In addition, he has vigorously defended President Akufo-Addo against attempts by his political adversaries to gain political advantage by exploiting the contentious LGBT+ community.
He charged prominent NDC members with spreading false information about President Akufo-Addo and the NPP in order to undermine their efforts to pass legislation legalizing homosexuality and transgender identity. He called the allegations ridiculous.
Leading NDC members have made suggestions that if NPP wins the Assin North parliamentary seat, Parliament will ban LGBTQ people from voting.
Agya Koo underlined that the good people of Assin North Constituency will vote en masse for the NPP due to development projects in the constituency by President Akuf-Addo and the NPP.
“Ambassador, Visit Assin North to see the asphalt roads, marketplaces, and schools, as well as the ongoing construction projects undertaken by Nana Addo and the NPP. Agya Koo informed Osei Kwadwo that the residents of Assin North are prepared to express their gratitude to the NPP and Nana Addo with their votes.
“NDC propaganda against President Akufo-Addo and the NPP over LGBTQ issues will never give them victory in Assin North,” claims Agya Koo.
NDC members are merely spreading lies to win pity votes in Assin North, but they will never succeed since Ghanaians are aware that President Akufo-Addo and the NPP will never tolerate LGBTQ people. Agya Koo elucidated
“I don’t understand why NDC members believe that Assin North residents will choose propaganda over progress in a ballot. They have seen firsthand Nana Addo and the NPP’s successful campaigns in the district.
“The constituency will see more developmental projects if NPP wins the Assin North seat because the Parliamentary candidate for NPP in Assin North will team up with the government to ensure more developmental projects in the constituency,” said the NPP candidate.
