The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has promised not to overburden Ghanaians with excessive taxing to fund their big push agenda for the country.
According to spokesperson of the party on issues of Finance and Economy, Fiifi Kwetey, the NDC has in the past sourced for funds without necessarily taxing Ghanaians therefore they’ll do same if reelected into government come December 7.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Fiifi Kwetey cited the terminal three and Tema port expansion project as typical projects under the NDC which were not funded with taxpayers money.
He insisted the NDC had funded many projects through other means without burdening the taxpayer and they will do same with the big push.
The NDC flagbearer, John Mahama, has communicated his intention to create a $10 billion accelerated infrastructural plan, dubbed the Big Push, to provide jobs and execute an industrialisation plan when elected in December 2020.
