NDC Will Protest On The Streets Till The Injustice Is Corrected – Asiedu Nketia Vows

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has insisted that the party won’t stop its rampant protests on the streets until their grievances are addressed.

The NDC after the declaration of the 2020 polls results have refused to concede defeat and have since been protesting on various streets across the country to force the Electoral Commission to come clear on its verdict and declare John Mahama as President-elect instead of Akufo-Addo.

There have since been calls and continuous pressure on the leadership of the NDC to take their grievances to court instead of protesting on the street which could be a recipe for chaos, however, Asiedu Nketia has stressed that the NDC won’t be departing the streets till their calls are heeded to.

“The street protest is aimed at getting public officers to do their lawful duties in a right and just manner and that is a constitutionally guaranteed right of aggrieved people. And the constitutionally guaranteed right of people to go to court is also available. You look at the options and you choose the method that will give you your results and for now, we think that the street protest will give us the results. We’ll be on the streets till the right things are done until the injustice is corrected,” he told Joy News.
