Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini has cautioned the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to consider changing its leadership in Parliament.
According to him, it will be the “height of stupidity” on the part of the party to change the leadership on the Minority caucus.
His comment comes on the back of calls from some NDC faithfuls demanding a change in leadership at the Minority caucus after the approval of some ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo.
The party’s former First National Vice-Chair of the National Democratic Congress, Anita Desoso, has threatened to lead a demonstration if changes are not effected.
However, Inusah Fuseini believes otherwise.
“In the stormy waters, captains do not jump ship. They use all their leadership skills and capabilities to steady the boat and when the storm calms and the boat is steady then they can choose to lay down their tools, but this is not the time. We don’t have to push the leadership out and doing so now with the greatest of respect will be the height of stupidity,” he was quoted by citifmonline.
