NDC Suffers Massive Blow In Techiman South Election Petition As Court Adjourns Indefinitely

The hopes of the opposition NDC to overturn the parliamentary results of the Techiman South constituency election have been dealt a huge blow.

A High Court Presided over by Justice Fredrick A.W.K Nawurah has adjourned the case sine die.

This was after the petitioner Christopher Beyere filed three applications in the court which included notice of discontinuance against third respondent, motion on notice to set aside the answer filed by the first respondent and notice on notice for leave to serve interrogatories on 2nd defendant.

The Court Struck Out the second and third applications and ordered the petitioner to serve notice on the third respondent.

However, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, while addressing the press after hearing, admitted that it will be difficult to serve the third respondent (clerk of parliament).

According to him, it is unlawful to serve the clerk of Parliament when Parliament is in session.

He however assured Supporters that every legitimate means will be pursued to ensure justice.
