The NDC MP for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu was nearly arrested by the Police on Monday, October 25 after he led some of his constituents to demonstrate over the poor state of some roads in his constituency.
In a viral video which made rounds on social media, the lawmaker was seen being shielded by some of his constituents while the police made efforts to arrest him.
However, reacting to the incident on Citi News, the MP insisted that he had done nothing that warranted an arrest since he and his constituents broke no law.
According to him, per his privileges as a lawyer, the police could not arrest him without prior notice to the Speaker.
