NDC Group Demands Martin Amidu Resigns; Cites Financial Loss To The State

Upper East NDC Group, Accra Branch has demanded the immediate resignation of Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu for causing financial loss to the state.

According to them, Mr Amidu has been in office for the past three years yet have failed to retrieve a single cedi for the state. To them, the office of the Special Prosecutor have been furnished with whatever it needs to facilitate its work, however, there’s little to nothing to show for all the money the state spends on the office.

Speaking on Okay FM, leader of the group Jackson Anorvia Akazoti demanded President Akufo Addo sacks him and channel the monies spent on him on other developmental projects. He explained that Amidu would have incurred a cost of over one million cedis before he could retrieve a single cedi for the state.

Mr Martin Amidu has on several occasions explained that he’s had some cases lined up that is still being worked on.
