Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has highlighted the strong public approval surrounding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, emphasizing his reputation as a results-oriented leader.
In an interview on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News with Umaru Sanda Amadu, Boafo pointed out that Dr. Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, is widely perceived as a hardworking individual who consistently delivers on his promises. Boafo noted that NAPO’s engagements with the public further bolster his image as a capable leader who can achieve tangible results.
“The feedback from the people is not what some critics may suggest,” Boafo stated. “This is a man who is seen as very hardworking, and people believe he will deliver results when given the opportunity.” He added that NAPO’s reputation for delivering on his commitments resonates well with those he interacts with, reinforcing a positive perception of his leadership abilities.
Boafo also contrasted NAPO’s record with that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, specifically comparing their tenures as Education Ministers. He argued that NAPO’s role in the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy sets him apart, while it would take longer to recall significant achievements from Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s time in office.
“If you ask about NAPO as Education Minister, the immediate response will be that he led the team that implemented Free SHS,” Boafo remarked. “However, asking about Professor Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s tenure as Education Minister might not generate the same level of recognition.”
Boafo concluded by asserting that the positive feedback regarding NAPO far outweighs any criticisms, solidifying his position as a well-regarded figure capable of delivering results.
