Nana Addo Will Push Mahama To Retire After 2020 Elections – NPP Top Official

Director of Elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Evans Nimako has stated that the 2020 elections will be the last for former president, John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, John Mahama will proceed to retire from politics after Nana Addo’s victory in the upcoming December polls.

In an interview on Citi TV’s “The Point of View” with Bernard Avle on Monday, on the Electoral Commission’s voter registration process, Mr. Nimako stated that the NDC flagbearer needed some rest after his failures as president of Ghana.

He was also effusive in his praise for the Jean Mensah-led electoral commission for a good work done during the just ended voter registration exercise.

Mr. Nimako said, “At this stage, Nana Akufo-Addo will retire Mr. Mahama for good. He needs to take some rest, he never helped. The NDC’s position has been that they didn’t want a cleaned-up register for the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections”.

“Thankfully, we have gotten it, I think this whole voter registration process has been very successful. I will use this opportunity to commend the EC for a good work done,” he added.
