Gabby Otchere-Darko has stated that the President’s pardoning of the 14 dismissed WASSCE students is an act of compassion which needs to be commended.
He said that this is a move to salvage the future of the students despite their errors.
In a post on twitter, Gabby stated that allowing the “children” to write the exams is a good decision as it is “the key to their future”.
He tweeted, “@NAkufoAddo has shown compassion. He is saying, yes the kids have erred; but let’s not kill their future. Allow them to write their exams, the key to their future. But the door to their future will be determined by the colour & quality of their own character and attitude to life.”
The President in a statement directed the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh to engage the Ghana Education Service (GES) to reconsider its decision to ban 14 students from writing their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
