A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Opoku has chided the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for squandering the gains made in the agriculture sector by the erstwhile Mahama administration.
Mr. Opoku, speaking at the NDC’s town hall meeting in Kumasi on Tuesday, September 15 disclosed that there were a number of investments made in the sector which included free distribution of fertilizers to farmers.
But the Akuffo-Addo government since its inception has destroyed all these investments.
“This government has failed the country, they have destroyed the agric sector” Mr. Opoku said as he urged Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama in the upcoming presidential polls.
