NADMO Is A Bankrupt Organization – Dzifa Gomeshie

Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency, has condemned the National Disaster Management Organization as a “broken organization” for failing to appropriately respond to the needs of victims of the Keta Lagoon tidal wave disaster.

Several victims of the tidal wave incidents in Salakope-Amutinu, Adina Agavedzi, and Fuveme, according to the Ketu South MP, are still sleeping on the streets despite numerous assurances from government officials that temporary structures will be provided for the victims who have lost virtually everything to the sea.

She, on the other hand, thinks that the government will turn words into action in the coming years.

The Ketu South MP reflected on the year 2021, noting that her constituents, particularly those living along the seaside, had a very bad year.

The havoc caused by the sea in Salakope-Amutinu, Adina, and Agavedzi, she said, reduced residents to their knees and left them with horrible memories.

She went on to say that the government had failed the people by failing to respond appropriately to the calamity.

Since the previous occurrence in November, the Ketu South lawmaker has been appreciative to corporate Ghana and the many individuals who have helped the victims with relief materials.
