My Father Had Nothing To Do With The NDC, Stop Using His Name For Your Campaign – Sekou Nkrumah Warns Mahama

Son of Ghana’s first President, Sekou Nkrumah has warned the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Mahama to desist from using the name of the Osagyefo for his political campaigns.

Sekou Nkrumah, a fierce critic of the National Democratic Congress, warned the NDC flagbearer that his father had nothing to do with the NDC.

NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has been a publicly-professed admirer of Ghana’s first President, acknowledging the leadership of the Osagyefo on numerous platforms.

It is unclear what specifically provoked the caution from Sekou but Nkrumah’s name still evokes feelings of nationalism and patriotism and remains a good campaign tool.
