MP’s From The Volta Region Invade Ketu South Over Military Deployment Saga

The drama surrounding the deployment of some military personnel to the Ketu South as part of the security preparations towards the compilation of the New Voters Register seems not to be coming to an end soon.

This comes in the wake as Members of Parliament (MP) from the Volta Region have decided to invade Ketu South Constituency in the Region where these security men have been dispatched to.

Residents claimed that some of the security personnel have already began harassing them.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) also alleged that, it was actually a form of intimidation against the residents to push them away from partaking in the New Voter Registration exercise by the National Democratic Congress.

Mr. Okudjeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region on 28th of June confirmed in his Facebook post thus, “We have resolved that all MPs from the Volta Caucus in Parliament together with some of our national & regional party leaders shall lead a delegation to Ketu South tomorrow morning.’

“We stand in solidarity with the oppressed and we stand in readiness to confront & defeat bigotry.” He added.
