Movie Producers Are Now Selling Phones After The Collapse Of The Movie Industry – Michael Afrane

It’s been a few years since the collapse of the Ghanaian movie industry, and Kumawood actor Michael Afrane has criticized Kumawood movie producers who haven’t released any films since the industry’s collapse.

Michael Afrane claims that the business is dead and needs all hands on deck to come to life.

In an interview with Ambassador TV, Michael Afrane voiced dissatisfaction about several producers who had switched to other ventures following the collapse of the sector.

Osei Kwadwo was informed by Michael Afrane that “the majority of the producers are now selling phones and engaging in other commercial activities rather than banding together to help the revival of the Kumawood movie industry.”

According to him, just a small number of producers, actors, and actresses are now investing in the business because they are passionate about their profession.

Michael Afrane continued, “Producers who lack industry enthusiasm have shifted to other businesses because they are hesitant to make investments in the sector given its current status.”

If the sector recovers, he advised, “the producers who have switched to other industries should maintain the same vigor.”
