Just yesterday, the Cape Coast High Court ruled to nullify the 2020 parliamentary election in Assin North, in which the NDC’s James Gyaakye Quayson won.
But even as the dust is yet to settle on the matter, Mr Quayson faces an impending criminal investigation bordering on perjury.
The Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Richard Techie-Mensah has filed a criminal complaint against Mr. Quayson insisting that he lied under oath to a public official.
Mr Quayson is liable on conviction, to a period of custodial sentence just like in the Adam Dramani Sakande case in 2012.
