Mixed Reactions Greet Church Of Pentecost’s Donation Of Fully Equipped Prison To Gov’t

Ghanaians have taken to social media to express mixed reactions after leadership of The Church of Pentecost, yesterday handed over a fully equipped and furnished Prisons facility at Ejura in the Ashanti Region to the government.

According to the Church, this is the first of 5 such projects being constructed at different locations in the country.

This, is in addition to many other developmental projects being carried out by the church across the country, including building and renovation of schools, building of police stations, provision of boreholes, among others.

The Church also explained that their vision is premised on Hebrews 13:3 in the Bible which states, “Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering”.

However, many Ghanaian social media users have expressed varied opinions about the gesture by the Church.

While some praise the Church for being patriotic, some also argue that the gesture is misplaced.
