Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has insisted that using the military to intimidate and fight ‘Western Togolanders’ will not bring an end to secessionism in the Volta region.
According to him, the ideals of the country must be structured in such a way that every citizen will have a sense of belonging while benefitting from the national cake.
Speaking on Alhaji and Alhaji show on Pan African TV, Mr Pratt noted that the military can make matters worse in the Volta region because it cannot be an ideal solution for the problem there.
To him, Voltarians must experience development, have good roads, portable drinking water while the state strictly frown on persons who incite tribal sentiments.
He explained that secessionism will have no place in the country when everyone feels a sense of belonging devoid of discrimination no matter where you come from.
