Furious staff of the Kumasi Metro Mass Depot have on Thursday morning chased out the Deputy Managing Director of the Company in charge of Operations and Technical, Nana Osei Bamfo amidst hooting and shouting.
The managing director, was chased out after unsuccessful deliberations with the workers over a sit down strike after 3 months of unpaid salary.
What seemed to have angered the workers most was the indictment of Junior Staff Chairman, Osei John who has been accused by authorities as the master mind behind the strike.
Speaking on Accra FM, Osei John denied the accusation against him and said he had the backing of the workers who have vowed to ensure his indictment is reversed.
Senior Staff Chairman, Mr. Opoku Amankwaa speaking with Pure FM said “It is so pathetic to work for 3 months without salary. Our Union executives will send a petition to Asantehene to come to our aid.”
