Methodist Girls SHS Student Died of Meningitis – Family

Family of the late Ms Cindy Aku Sika Addo, a student of the Methodist Girls Senior High School have disclosed that their daughter died of meningitis related complications.

Father of the deceased, Alex Addo told Joy News, “the medical experts say it’s Meningitis.” He however said he was yet to receive a call from Ghana Education Service (GES) after the incident.

The GES had earlier stated that Aku Sika Addo died of “Acute Malaria,” and revealed parents of the deceased were informed who later went to see her at the hospital.

“…Her dream was to become a lawyer,” Mr Addo told the anchor in a telephone interview. “I will just go to the school and pack her things… It’s [My daughter’s demise] is sad. It’s not a joke,” her father said.

Cindy Addo, was studying General Arts. Her death adds up to make three students since the resumption of senior high schools after the Covid-19 break.
