Ghanaian Actress Belinda Naa Ode Oku, popularly known as Adwoa Smart has revealed that even though she had wished to marry, the men who came into her life deceived her.
She disclosed that none of the men she dated was ready to settle down with her despite making many promises to her.
According to Adwoa Smart who made the disclosure on Angel FM’’s Drive Time show hosted by Quophi Okyeame yesterday, hers was purely a case of “promise and fail” and she learnt a lot from the experiences.
She revealed that at age 18, she met one Nana Yaw who was 35 years by then.
He was one of the musicians of the popular Obra Soul Train.
They fell in love and had a baby girl who died after seven months.
Veteran actress Grace Omaboe better known as Maame Dokono discovered Adwoa Smart and supported her during the early days of her career by enrolling her at a popular dancing school to polish her dancing stage performance skills.
She started her acting career in Obra where he played roles alongside the like of David Dontoh (Ghanaman), Grace Omaboe (Maame Dokono), Joe Eyison (Station Master), Esi Kom, Rev Prince Yawson (Waakye), Charles Amankwaa Ampofo, Jojo Mills Robertson (Yoofi), Richard Kwame Agyeman (Odompo), Lily Ameyaw (Nana Yaa), C.K. Boateng (Kwame Ahe), Charles Adumuah, Emry Brown, Abankwa Duodu, and many others.
Adwoa Smart has also featured in a number of movies including Matters of the Heart, Yaa Asantewaa, It’s too late, Father and Son, Money Bag, Judgement Day and Black Star.
