May Allah Accept Our Collective Prayers And Make Our Nation Great And Strong – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has shared his goodwill message with Ghanaians and Muslims around the globe as they celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

The President praised the Muslim community for “braving the pangs of hunger and thirst for an entire month.”

President Akufo-Addo added that despite the purpose for which the fasting was done, Muslims were able to adhere to the strict “disciplinary code” throughout the holy month.

He said this in a tweet on Saturday, April 22, as Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

Eid ul-Fitr [“Festival of Breaking Fast”] is a time of official receptions and private visits when friends greet one another, presents are given, new clothes are worn, and the graves of relatives are visited.

President Akudfo-Addo prayed for Allah’s blessing and peace upon the Muslim community and the country and wished everyone a peaceful celebration.

“I pray that Allah accepts our collective prayers, continues to shower His grace, mercies and peace on our nation and makes her great and strong.

“I wish all Muslims blissful and peaceful Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.”

He also asked Allah to accept the prayers and sacrifices made by Muslims throughout the long month of fasting.

“May the Almighty Allah accept our worship, bless us all and our homeland Ghana, and make her great and strong.”
