Massive Tension In Northern Region NDC As Mahama Boy, Alhaji Fuzak Attempts To Take Down People’s Man, Haruna Iddrisu

What is the right way to effectively and adequately exert political influence? Is it more effective to be selfless and virtuous, or forceful and ruthless?

The above can be said to adequately represent the situation the NDC finds itself in at the moment in the Northern Region as Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu and NDC-aligned private contractor, Alhaji Fuzak go head-to-head in a battle of supremacy.

For years, Haruna Iddrisu, affectionately known as Lawyer Aduna has been the undisputed face of the NDC in the Northern Region, a region in which he wields influence far beyond his own age.

It is fair to say that the honorable minority leader is not only respected in the Northern Region alone but has carved a niche for himself which transcends regional demarcations and political boundaries.

However, it appears someone is after Haruna Iddrisu’s crown in recent times following the emerging popularity of Alhaji Fuzak, a private road contractor who is fast gaining popularity among the NDC population in the Northern Region.

About a month ago on 6th August 2021, a group calling itself ‘Coalition of Youth Groups in the Northern Region’, which appears to be aligned with Alhaji Fuzak, organized a press conference in which they laid a number of accusations against the honorable minority leader.

Among the myriad of allegations, the group also alleged that Mr Haruna Iddrisu was acting to destroy the chances of John Dramani Mahama in the next elections.

It is unclear at the moment if the Fuzak faction has the support of the NDC flagbearer for the 2020 election, John Mahama, although the faction has declared their absolute support for Mr Mahama on several occasions.
