Today, November 26th 2020 is make or break for the minority caucus in Parliament as they carry the aspirations of their teeming supporters to wait on them to carry out their ‘threat’.
The minority caucus have made their point strongly felt on the airwaves and on social media since the Finance Minister presented the 2022 budget to Parliament last week.
According to the many Minority MPs who have spoken since the budget presentation, the budget must definitely not be approved.
Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has assured NDC Supporters and Ghanaians in general that this budget will definitely not pass, especially as it still contains the controversial e-transactions levy.
Some NDC Supporters have said that they take their lawmakers’ threats with a pinch of salt considering how they made the noise in the past about some government appointees and ended up approving them under bizarre circumstances.
So to these supporters, today presents a unique opportunity for their legislators to redeem their tattered images and reassure them that there is indeed some glimmer of hope for the future.
But, is the minority caucus up to the task?
We wait to see.
